B192D - Right Rear Window Control Circuit Open
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: Whenever the window motor is operating.
• Set Condition: The right rear window driver UP circuit does not change from high to low during a window movement command.
Test Step 1 - Test for an Intermittent Condition
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
• Try to operate the right rear Window UP and DOWN several times.
• Wait 30 seconds.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B192D - Right Rear Window Control Circuit Open?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2
No
• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - Window Motor Or Circuit Open
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the right rear window motor connector.
• Connect a test lamp between the right rear window driver UP circuit and the right rear window driver DOWN circuit.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the driver window switch UP and DOWN several times while observing the test lamp.
Does the test lamp illuminate brightly when the switch is pressed in both directions?
Yes
• Replace the right rear window motor.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Go to Test Step 3
Test Step 3 - Right Rear Window Driver UP Circuit Open
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Measure the resistance of the right rear window driver UP circuit between the right rear window motor harness connector and the right rear door module C1 harness connector.
Is the resistance less than 10k ohms?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 4
No
• Repair the right rear window driver UP circuit for an open.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 4 - Right Rear Window Driver DOWN Circuit Open
• Measure the resistance of the right rear window driver DOWN circuit between the right rear window motor harness connector and the right rear door module C1 harness connector.
Is the resistance less than 10k ohms?
Yes
• Replace the right rear door module.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Repair the right rear window driver DOWN circuit for an open.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
