B19E3 - Right Sliding Door Handle Switch Circuit Low
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: Whenever the Right Rear Door Module is awake.
• Set Condition: The Right Rear Door Module has detected the Right Door In/Out Handle Switch Sense circuit voltage is below 0.5 of volt for over one second.
Test Step 1 - CHECK FOR DTCS
• With the scan tool, record DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.
• Erase the DTCs.
• Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
• Attempt to operate the Right Power Sliding Door from the door handle.
• With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2
No
• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent occurrence.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - CHECK THE (Q54) RIGHT DOOR IN/OUT HANDLE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND.
RT-B19E3-2
• Turn the ignition off.
• Disconnect the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
• Measure the resistance between body ground and the (Q54) Right Door In/Out Handle Switch Sense.
Is the resistance below 10,000 (10k) Ohms?
No
• Go to Test Step 3
Yes
• Repair the (Q54) Right Sliding Door Release Handle circuit for a short to ground.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 3 - CHECK THE (Q54) RIGHT DOOR IN/OUT HANDLE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Q780) RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR MUX RETURN CIRCUIT.
RT-B19E3-3
• Measure the resistance between the (Q54) Right Door In/Out Handle Switch Sense circuit and the (Q780) Right Power Sliding Door Mux Return circuit in the Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 (10k) Ohms?
No
• Replace the Right Rear Door Module.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Yes
• Go to Test Step 4
Test Step 4 - CHECK THE RIGHT REAR DOOR LATCH.
RT-B19E3-3
• Disconnect the Right Rear Door Latch C2 connector.
• Measure the resistance between the (Q54) Right Door In/Out Handle Switch Sense circuit and the (Q780) Right Power Sliding Door Mux Return circuit in the Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 (10k) Ohms?
No
• Replace the Right Rear Door Latch Assembly.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Yes
• Repair the (Q54) Right Door In/Out Handle Switch Sense circuit for a short to the (Q780) Right Power Sliding Door Mux Return circuit.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
