B19ED
B19ED - Left Power Sliding Door Latch Control 2 Circuit Open
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: Whenever the left power sliding door is in a latch cinch or release operation.
• Set Condition: This code will set when the left rear door module senses no current on the latch cinch/release circuit during a cinch/release operation for more than 100ms.
Test Step 1 - Check For DTCs
• With the scan tool, record DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.
• Erase the DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• Attempt to operate the left power sliding door.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B19ED - Left Power Sliding Door Latch Control 2 Circuit Open?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2
No
• Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - Rear Door Module
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Remove the left rear door trim panel.
• Disconnect the left rear door module C1 and C2 connectors.
• Manually open the sliding door part way.
• Connect a jumper wire from the ground circuit to the left cinch/release motor unlatch driver circuit in the C1 connector.
• Be careful not to spread the terminals in the connector.
• Observe the rear door latch position.
• Momentarily connect a jumper wire between the fused B+ circuit and the left cinch/release motor latch driver circuit in the C1 connector.
• Reverse the polarity of the jumper wires several times and observe the rear latch to see if it changes each time the wires are reversed.
Does the rear latch change from latched to unlatched each time the wires are reversed?
Yes
• Replace the left rear door module.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Go to Test Step 3
Test Step 3 - Check the Left Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver Circuit for an Open
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Remove the left rear door module assembly.
• Disconnect the left rear door latch C3 motor connector.
• Measure the resistance of the left cinch/release motor latch driver circuit between the left rear door module C1 harness connector and the left rear door latch C3 harness connector.
• Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent open circuit condition.
Is the resistance less than 5.0 ohms?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 4
No
• Repair the left cinch/release motor latch driver circuit for an open.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 4 - Check the Left Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver Circuit for an Open
• Measure the resistance of the left cinch/release motor unlatch driver circuit between the left rear door module C1 harness connector and the left rear door latch C3 harness connector.
• Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent open circuit condition.
Is the resistance less than 5.0 ohms?
Yes
• Replace the left rear door latch motor or latch assembly.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Repair the left cinch/release motor unlatch driver circuit for an open.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
