Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

Fuel Injector

Removing

- Remove the fuel rail. Refer to => [ Fuel Rail ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the fuel injector retaining clip from the fuel injector.






- Remove the fuel injector (1) from the fuel rail (2).






Installing

• Inspect each O-ring seal - arrow - on the fuel injectors, replace the O-ring seals if any damaged is noted.

- Lubricate the fuel injector O-ring seal- arrow - on the rail side of the injector with clean engine oil.






- Install the fuel injector (1) to the fuel rail (2).






- Install the retaining clip on the fuel injector and make sure that the injector is seated properly in the fuel rail.

- Lubricate the O-ring seal on the nozzle end of the fuel injector with clean engine oil.






- Install the fuel rail. Refer to => [ Fuel Rail ] Service and Repair.
