Exhaust Camshaft Balance Shaft, Removing and Installing

Removing

- Remove the balance shaft timing chain => [ Balance Shaft Timing Chain, Removing and Installing ] Balance Shaft Timing Chain, Removing and Installing.

- Remove the exhaust camshaft balance shaft - 1 -.





Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Balance Shaft Timing Chain, Assembly Overview ] Balance Shaft Timing Chain, Assembly Overview.

- Check the installation position of the pipe for the balance shaft - arrow -.





The pin - arrow - must engage in the groove.

• Press the pipe slight together in order to get it into the installation position.

• Press the pipe into the crankcase and bend both halves one time to the inside.

- Lubricate the balance shaft bearing with engine oil.

- Install the exhaust camshaft balance shaft.

- Before tightening the bolt - 1 - make sure the balance shaft lies level on the crankshaft.





• If the balance shaft is not level, then the pipe for the balance shaft must be installed again.

The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the disassembling sequence.
