HID Headlamp Control Module

The left HID headlamp control module (J343) / right HID headlamp control module (J344) is installed on the lower headlamp.

The left HID headlamp control module/right HID headlamp control module is not equipped with OBD.

• The illustrations show a left HID headlamp control module.

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Remove the screws - arrows - from the left HID headlamp control module - 2 -.






- Remove the left HID headlamp control module - 2 - from the headlamp- 1 -.

- Remove the connection for the left HID headlamp control module.

Installing

Make sure the seal fits correctly when installing the left HID headlamp control module. Water getting in the headlamp will cause damage.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Tighten the bolts to the tightening specification shown in => [ HID Headlamps Overview ] HID Headlamps Overview.

- Check headlamp for functions.

- Perform basic setting of headlamps. Refer to => [ Headlamp, Performing Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.
