Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Thrust Piece (T10203)

• Sleeve (VW 423)

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing the Locking Pin - A - from the Gear Shift Cover





- Remove the outer part of the locking pin.

- Remove the locking pin carefully with a screwdriver.

Pressing the Locking Pin - A - into the Gear Shift Cover





Installed position:

The mark - arrow - faces toward the upper part of gear shift shaft.

Install the Seal Completely





Installing the Transmission Shift Lever





- When positioning the transmission shift lever, make sure the gap - arrow A - is placed over the missing selector shaft teeth - arrow B -.
