Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

Removing

- Remove the cover - A -.






Vehicles with Engine Codes BGP and CBTA:

- Disconnect the lines - 1, 2 and 3 -. To do so, press in or press together the securing ring.






- Press the locking mechanisms on the bolt points in the - direction of the arrow - using a screwdriver and remove the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister - 4 -.

Vehicles with Engine Codes BGQ and CBUA:

- Perform the removal the same way as on vehicles with engine codes BGP and CBTA.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

Connect the ventilation lines until they engage audibly.

Make sure the lines and EVAP canister are locked securely.

Tightening Specifications
