Removing

The bracket for attaching the engine cover to the cylinder head could break if removed incorrectly. Always follow these steps to remove the engine cover.

- Pull the engine cover upwards off of the ball studs in these areas - arrows - and in the sequence shown. Reach as far as possible under the engine cover.






Installing

Check the position of the 4 ball sockets before assembling the engine cover. Bring them back into the correct position if necessary. Otherwise the engine cover will be damaged.

- Press the engine cover ball sockets into the correct position.






- Position the engine cover on the ball studs and press the corners onto the ball studs.
