Lock Carrier

Removing

The lock carrier is a safety-relevant component. For this reason it cannot be serviced.

Replace the lock carrier if it is damaged.






Removing

- Move the lock carrier into its service position. Refer to => [ Service Position ] Service Position.

- Disconnect any harness connectors.

- Drain the coolant and disconnect the coolant line.

- Disconnect the refrigerant lines for the condenser.

- Support the hood and remove the support rod from the hood.

- Together with a second technician, remove the guide rods (T10093) on the left and right longitudinal members - 2 - and remove the lock carrier - 1 -.

Do not start the engine whenever the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.

Never hang the condenser and the hydraulic fluid cooler on the lines.

Lines for condenser and hydraulics must not be kinked.

Installation






- Attach the lock carrier - 1 - to the longitudinal members - 2 -.

- Install the left and right guide rods (T10093).

- Move the lock carrier out of its service position. Refer to => [ Service Position ] Service Position.

Install in reverse order of removal.

Make sure that all plug and hose connections are installed correctly during assembly.

- Align the lock carrier and its attachments - 1 - on the longitudinal members and between the fenders.
