Evacuating and Charging Valve, Low and High Pressure Sides
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)
• A/C Service Station (ROB134APF) (or succeeding model)
• 1/4" Ratchet Insert (VAS 6234)
• Adapter Set With Service Connection (T10364)
Removing
• Extract the refrigerant using the (ROB134APF) (or succeeding model).
• See notes, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit, Specialized Repairs ] Procedures.
- Remove the cap - 3 -.
There is a danger of ice-up.
Refrigerant leaks out if refrigerant circuit is not discharged.
Refrigerant must be extracted before opening the refrigerant circuit. If the refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes after extracting it, pressure may build up in the circuit again. The refrigerant must be extracted again.
- Extract the refrigerant circuit using (ROB134APF) (or subsequent models).
- Remove the valve insert - 2 - (2 ± 0.2 Nm) from the refrigerant pipe with the proper adapter - 4 -.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.
