Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Front Window Regulator

• The following describes removing and installing the left window regulator. Removing and installing the right window regulator is identical.

Removing






- Remove the front door trim panel.

- Remove the adhesive pad. Refer to => [ Adhesive Pad Assembly Overview ] Adhesive Pad Assembly Overview.

- Remove the door window. Refer to => [ Front Door Window ] Front Door Window.

- Remove the window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Front Window Regulator Motor ] Service and Repair.

- Unclip the wiring harness from the window regulator.

- Release the hooks on the cable drum and push into the door - 1 -.

- Remove only the lower nuts - 3 - and push the threaded pin on the window regulator into the door.

- Loosen the top nuts - 3 - (do not remove them), slide them together with the window regulator in - direction of arrow - and push them into the door - 1 -.

- Remove the window regulator - 2 - with the cable drum through the opening in the door - 1 -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Insert the window regulator - 2 - with the cable drum through the opening in the door - 1 -.

- Insert the upper threaded pins and nuts - 3 - through the door inner panel and move them in - direction of arrow -.

- Insert the threaded pins on the window regulator through the inner door panel.

- Install the lower nuts - 3 - and then tighten all the nuts - 3 -.

Nut tightening specification - 3 -: 8 Nm

- Install adhesive pad over openings for bolts - 3 -.

- Push the cable drum against the door inner panel until it clicks into place.

- Install window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Front Window Regulator Motor ] Service and Repair.

- Install the door window. Refer to => [ Front Door Window ] Front Door Window.
