Radiator, Fan Shroud and Fan Overview






1 Radiator

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Radiator ] Radiator.

After replacing, replace the entire amount of coolant.

2 O-ring

Replace if damaged.

3 Connecting Piece

To remove, pull off the clip.

4 Spring Type Clip

Remove and install using the hose clamp pliers (VAS 6340).

5 Coolant Hose

Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Cooling System.

6 Upper Coolant Hose

To the connection on the cylinder head.

7 Expansion Tank

Perform a leak test on the cooling system using the cooling system tester (V.A.G 1274 B) and the adapter (V.A.G 1274/8).

8 Connector

9 Cap

Check using the cooling system tester (V.A.G 1274 B) and the adapter (V.A.G 1274/9).

The pressure release valve must open at a pressure of 1.4 to 1.6 bar.

5 Nm

11 Plastic Inserts

For the bolts.

13 Fan Shroud

5 Nm

15 Coolant Fan 2 (V177)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Fan V7 and Coolant Fan 2 V177 ] Coolant Fan V7 and Coolant Fan 2 V177.

16 Connector

17 Coolant Fan (V7)

With the coolant fan control module.

18 Bracket

For the harness connector.

19 Clip

20 Lower Coolant Hose

To the connection for the coolant thermostat.

21 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet (G83)

22 Lower Coolant Hose

To the connection for the coolant thermostat.

23 Connecting Piece

To remove, pull off the clip.

24 Nut

10 Nm
