Front Final Drive Gear Oil Level, Checking

For the gear oil specification, refer to the Fluid Capacity Tables.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

- Remove the plug - arrow - from the front final drive.






The oil level is correct when the front final drive is filled to the lower edge of the hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal.

Note the following when filling for the first time:

- Remove the plug - arrow -.

- Add gear oil until it reaches the lower edge of the hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new seal.
