EEPROM, FAULT IN MEMORY
1. Checking the control module
- Preparation:
Ignition OFF
Wait approx. 150 seconds.
Ignition ON
Detach the driving mode selector from the panel on the center console.
Disconnect the driving mode selector
- The EEPROM in the control module stores Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), frozen values and DTC counters. If the EEPROM memory is malfunctioning then no information can be read from it. To check the condition of the memory it is necessary to simulate a fault so that a DTC is set and then check that the memory is working by reading off the information for the DTC.
Wait approx. 45 seconds.
Connect and reinstall the driving mode selector.
- Then continue with step 2





2. Checking the control module, continued
- Preparation:
Ignition OFF
Wait approx. 150 seconds.
Ignition ON
- Read off other DTCs
- Is DTC AT-114 stored?
YES: Proceed to step 3
NO: Proceed to step 4





3. Clearing Diagnostic trouble code
- Memory performing normally.
- Clear DTCs
- Fault corrected





4. Replacing component
- Preparation:
Ignition OFF
- Try a new control module, refer to replacement. Service and Repair
- Fault corrected
