DTC Troubleshooting: P15B9
DTC P15B9:
Check Valve (Intake Manifold) Leak Detected
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. Check for vacuum leaks at the check valve (intake manifold) between the brake booster and the intake manifold Testing and Inspection.
Is the check valve OK?
YES -
Go to step 3.
NO -
Replace the brake booster vacuum hose (the check valve is inside the hose).
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
5. Check the BRAKE BOOSTER PRESSURE SENSOR, and BARO SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS, then compare the two pressure values.
Is the BRAKE BOOSTER PRESSURE SENSOR 8.67 kPa (2.56 inHg, 65 mmHg), more than the BARO SENSOR?
YES -
Replace the brake booster pressure sensor Service and Repair.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
