VSA DTC Troubleshooting: 26-11, 28-11

DTC 26-11:

Lateral Acceleration Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction

DTC 28-11:

Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction

NOTE:

- Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
- While doing this troubleshooting, avoid vibration or shaking of the vehicle.

1. Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

5. Wait for 60 seconds or more.

6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 26-11 or 28-11 indicated?

YES -

Replace the yaw rate-acceleration sensor Service and Repair.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.
