Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject the disc before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
- If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, the Map Matching must be done.

1. Make sure you have the 5-digit anti-theft code.

2. Remove these items:

- Driver's inner dashboard trim Driver's Inner Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation
- Passenger's dashboard trim Passenger's Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation
- Center console panel Center Console Panel Removal / Installation
- Audio -navigation and HVAC switch panel Audio-Navigation and HVAC Switch Panel Removal/Installation

3. Carefully remove the bolts (A) and bolts (B), then disconnect the connector (C), and pull the audio-navigation unit (D) out.





4. Disconnect the audio-navigation unit connectors, and detach the clip (E).

5. Remove the bolts (A) and brackets (B).






6. Remove the self-tapping screws (A) and the mounting screws (B), then disconnect the connector (C), and remove the front panel (D) and (E) from the audio-navigation unit (F).





7. Remove the screws and audio-navigation unit.

NOTE: If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, remove the HDD HDD Removal / Installation.

8. Install the audio-navigation unit in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Check any official Honda service website for more service information about patches for the navigation system. Apply any prescribed patches to the new audio-navigation unit.

9. Enter the new 5-digit anti-theft code.

10. Park the vehicle outside, and do the GPS Initialization.

11. Give the new navigation anti-theft code to the client.
