Manual Air Conditioning (A/C) (Via Scan Tool)

Manually controlled A/C
The following table lists all of the possible malfunction DTCs recognized by the A/C clutch control module -J153- and displayed/printed on VAG 1551 scan tool.


NOTE: DTC memory is erased each time ignition is switched off


- Before replacing a component, always check harness connectors for proper connection.
- Before replacing A/C clutch control module, check battery positive voltage (B+) supply and Ground (GND) connections to -J153- (terminals 30, 75, and 31) according to wiring diagram, repair as necessary.
- If a faulty component is indicated, first check wiring and connections to that component for open and/or short circuits according to wiring diagram.


NOTE:
- Sporadically occurring malfunctions are identified with an "SP" on the right side of the VAG 1551 scan tool display. Malfunctions not marked with "SP" are not stored, but are displayed for as long as they exist.
- The five-digit DTC is not displayed on VAG 1551 scan tool, but only printed out via the printer.

2) If display for clutch -N125- indicates both "Open/Short circuit to B+" and "Speed deviation too large", repair cause for open/short circuit first.
