- Always confirm proper coding of A/C control head -E87- (engine type dependant) before diagnosis and repairs.
- Check and erase DTC memory and perform basic setting after per- forming repairs.

- The determined outside temperature can be displayed in °C or in °F independent of the -E87- setting.
NOTE: If display is incorrect, test measured values of temperature sensor via VAG1551 Scan Tool function 08, Read Measuring Value Block. Testing and Inspection

- The illumination of the display field and the operating button is via light emitting diode (LED), and can not be replaced.
- Always refer to parts information for correct control head versions.
