1) First check connectors for corrosion or water damage, replace if necessary

Note for DTC 17100 / P0716:
^ Condition for fault recognition: Clearly one driving range is engaged (D, 4, 3 or 2) and not an intermediate position. Engine RPM is above 608 RPM while driving. The transmission output RPM while driving is higher than 416 RPM.

^ DTC is stored when these conditions for fault recognition are fulfilled and the transmission input RPM is 0 or larger than 8000 RPM.
