Latch Replacement - Liftgate

Removal Procedure





1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Rendezvous) (Service and Repair) .
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the liftgate latch.
4. Remove the bolts from the liftgate latch.
5. Remove the liftgate latch from the liftgate.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the liftgate latch to the liftgate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the bolts to the liftgate latch.

Tighten the liftgate latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the liftgate latch.
4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Rendezvous) (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the liftgate.
