Indirect Programming

1. Connect a Tech 2 scan tool to the vehicle Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Select VEHICLE YEAR and TYPE.
3. Select REQUEST INFORMATION soft key.
4. Connect Tech 2 scan tool to terminal.
5. Select SERVICE PROGRAMMING SYSTEM from the Techline Navigator or by selecting F2 on the Information Menu.
6. Select SPS/EEPROM on the Diagnostic Menu.
7. Select NEW VEHICLE.
8. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) will be read, if VIN cannot be read, the VIN will need to be entered manually.
9. Select SPECIAL.
10. Select PROGRAM BY VCI.
11. Enter 1008 for VCI number.
12. Select DONE.
13. Summary of selected calibrations is displayed with Body Control Module (BCM) calibrations. Make sure to select correct calibration based on vehicle features.
14. Select PROGRAM.
15. Select YES to confirm programming. Calibration is downloaded to the Tech 2 scan tool.
16. Connect Tech 2 scan tool to the vehicle DLC.
17. Select VEHICLE YEAR and TYPE.
18. VIN and end model part number displayed on Tech 2 scan tool.
19. Select PROGRAM soft key to setup/program the BCM.
