EN-44602 - Water Pump Holding Tool

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools Tools and Equipment.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the three way catalytic converter. Refer to Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement.

2. Remove the radiator outlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Outlet Pipe Replacement Service and Repair.

3. Remove the water pump cover. Refer to Water Pump Cover Replacement Water Pump Cover Replacement.





4. Install the EN-44602 - holding tool (1) to the water pump sprocket.





5. Remove the 3 water pump sprocket bolts (2) from the water pump sprocket through the EN-44602 - holding tool (1).





Note:
Do not remove the bolts out of the front cover holes.

6. Loosen completely the 2 water pump bolts (1) from the engine front cover.





7. Remove the 2 water pump bolts (1) and remove the water pump (2).

Installation Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the water pump (2) and install the 2 water pump bolts (1) and tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).





2. Install the 2 water pump bolts (1) to the engine front cover and tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).





3. Install the 3 water pump sprocket bolts (2) through the EN-44602 - holding tool (1) and tighten the bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb in).





4. Remove the EN-44602 - holding tool (1) from the water pump sprocket.

5. Install the water pump cover. Refer to Water Pump Cover Replacement Water Pump Cover Replacement.

6. Install the radiator outlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Outlet Pipe Replacement Service and Repair.

7. Install the three way catalytic converter. Refer to Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement.
