Rear Bumper: Adjustments

Bumper Adjustment - Rear

1. Remove the taillamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
2. Remove the rear compartment rear trim panel. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear (Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear) in Body Rear End.




3. Loosen the nuts that retain the upper fascia.
4. Loosen the bolts (2) that retain the impact bar to the energy absorbers (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Adjust the upper fascia (3) to the rear quarters.

Tighten the nuts in sequence to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

6. Align the lower fascia/impact bar (1) as needed.

Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

7. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear (Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear) in Body Rear End.
8. Install the taillamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
