Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front carpet. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Front (Carpet Replacement - Front) .
2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
3. Remove the carpeted rear floor mats.
4. Use the J 38778 in order to remove the 3 push in retainers securing the rear carpet to the floorpan.
5. Remove the rear carpet.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Any carpet service repair or replacement should be the same thickness, size and location as the original installation in the vehicle or vehicle damage and personal injury could result.
Caution: All floor pan insulator material must meet Federal Vehicle Safety Standards for flammability. Failure to do so could result is personal injury and/or vehicle damage.
1. Position the rear floor carpet to the floorpan.
2. Make sure the electrical connectors are carefully pulled through the openings at the center of the carpet.
3. Ensure the wrinkles are removed from the carpet.
4. Ensure the rear outside edges of the carpet is tucked under the rear quarter upper trim panels.
5. Install the 3 push in retainers at the rear of the carpeting in order to secure the rear carpet to the floorpan.
6. Install the carpeted rear floor mats.
7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
8. Install the front carpet. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Front (Carpet Replacement - Front) .
