Rear Compartment

The luggage compartment lid release is operated by applying battery voltage to the Luggage Compartment Lid Release Solenoid when the Trunk Release Button on the Transmitter is pressed. The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Module cannot activate the Luggage Compartment Lid Release Solenoid when terminal "B" of module connector C1 is not grounded. This terminal is grounded when the gear selector (Automatic Transaxle) is in "Park" or "Neutral" or when the Park Brake is set (Manual Transaxle).
