Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.




5. Remove the window regulator bolts (2) (power windows).




6. Remove the window regulator bolts (3) (manual windows).
7. Remove the window regulator cam nut.
8. Remove the rivets (2).
9. Remove the window regulator cam bolt.
10. Remove the regulator (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the regulator (4) by inserting the bottom through the access opening.
2. Rotate the top through the opening while lowering the regulator in order to clear the top of the access opening.
3. Align the holes in the door inner panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the door window regulator bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the upper left rivet.
6. Install the lower right rivet.
7. Install the door window regulator cam bolt.

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

8. Connect the electrical connector, if equipped.
9. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
11. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
