P0713
DTC P0713
DTC Descriptor
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P0713
- Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* The transmission control module (TCM) detects that the analog to digital (A/D) value of the transmission fluid temperature sensor signal is more than 1000 for 1 s continuously. A/D value 1000:4.89 V.
* After one occurrence of above detection.
* Gear selector position is except park and neutral.
* Engine revolution is 400 RPM or greater.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* The TCM will request the illumination of the hold/malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and store the DTC when the TCM detects a failure on 2 ignition cycles.
* The TCM judges the temperature of the transmission fluid is 200°C (392°F).
* No lockup control
* No 4th gear
* No self-learning control
* No timing solenoid control N-D
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The TCM turns off the hold/malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) when no further failures are detected on three consecutive ignition cycles.
* The scan tool can clear the DTC from the TCM history.
* The TCM clears the DTC from the TCM history memory after 40 consecutive ignition cycles without fault.
* The TCM detects the temperature of the transmission fluid is between 0-150°C (32-302°F) for 10 s continuously.
Diagnostic Aids
Failure caused by:
* The wiring harness or the connector between the sensor and the TCM
* The transmission fluid temperature sensor
* TCM
