Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Partially drain cooling system.
3. With the engine cold, disconnect coolant sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove sensor (2).

INSTALLATION





1. Install engine coolant temperature sensor (2). Tighten sensor to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) torque.
2. Attach electrical connector to sensor.
3. Connect negative battery cable.
