Battery Precautions

WHEN SERVICING BATTERIES OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS:

Be sure battery is properly connected before attempting to start engine.

Avoid creating sparks near battery. Batteries produce explosive gas (hydrogen) and contain acid.

Never disconnect battery when engine is running.

Always be sure battery cables are disconnected before charging battery.

Never attempt to start engine or charge battery using a booster/starter with a voltage rating above 12 volts.
