B1E29-3RD ROW SEAT NORMAL/STOW SWITCH CIRCUIT HIGH
For a complete wiring diagram REFER to DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL
- When Monitored:
Continuously
- Set Condition:
When the Power Folding Seat senses voltage over 4.9 volts on the (P277) Normal/Stow Switch MUX circuit for longer than 300 milliseconds, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, record and then erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Operate the Folding Seat Switch several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
2. CHECK THE (P277) NORMAL/STOW SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT VOLTAGE
Disconnect the Power Folding Seat Switch connector.
Measure the voltage between the (P277) Normal/Stow Switch MUX circuit and the (P279) Folding Seat Switch Return circuit at the Power Folding Seat Switch connector.
Choose result:
Over 5.0 volts
- Go To 3
5.0 volts + or - 0.1 volt
- Replace the Power Folding Seat Switch.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
3. CHECK THE (P277) NORMAL/STOW SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
Disconnect the power rear folding seat C392 in-line harness 12 - way connector.
Measure the voltage between the (P277) Normal/Stow Switch MUX circuit and ground.
Is any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (P277) Normal/Stow Switch MUX circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
No
- Gain access to and check the (P277) Normal/Stow Switch MUX wire in the seat harness for a short to another circuit. If OK, replace the Power Rear Folding Seat Module.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
