B1E4F-3RD ROW SEAT LEFT STOW/TAILGATE POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
When the Seat Motor is activated.

- Set Condition:
If during motor operation the sensor voltage is not within a specified range this code will set.






Diagnostic Test


1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
Operate the Folding Seat Switch several times.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes


- Go To 2


No


- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

2. LEFT POWER REAR FOLDING SEAT STOW MOTOR
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Left Power Rear Folding Seat Stow Motor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
Operate the Folding Seat Switch several times.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes


- Go To 3


No


- Replace the Rear Left Power Rear Folding Seat Stow Motor assembly.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

3. CHECK THE (P318) LEFT SEAT STOW POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Folding Seat Module C4 harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the (P318) Left Seat Stow Position Sensor Circuit for voltage at the Left Power Rear Folding Seat Stow Motor harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes


- Repair the (P318) Left Seat Stow Position Sensor Circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 Power Folding Seat System Verification Test


No


- Go To 4



4. CHECK THE (P318) LEFT SEAT STOW POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT AT MODULE




Turn the ignition Off.
Measure the resistance of the (P318) Left Seat Stow Position Sensor Supply circuit to other circuits in the Folding Seat Module C4 harness connector.
Is there any continuity present?

Yes


- Repair the (P318) Left Seat Stow Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to another circuit.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

No


- Replace the Folding Seat Module.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
