B210E-BATTERY VOLTAGE HIGH - FSM

For a complete wiring diagram REFER to DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL .

- When Monitored:
Engine running, during seat operation.

- Set Condition:
This code is set immediately after the Folding Seat Module (FSM) receives a high charging system voltage message over the CAN Interior Bus or detects voltage over 16.5 volts on the (A905) B(+) circuit.

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK PCM/ECM FOR CHARGING SYSTEM DTC
With the scan tool, read Powertrain Control Module DTC's.
Are there any Charging System DTC's set in the Powertrain Control Module?

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).

No

- Go To 2

2. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position then start the engine and let run for one minute.
Attempt to operate the Power Folding Seat.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display active this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

3. CHECK THE VOLTAGE ON THE (A905) B(+) CIRCUIT

Turn the ignition off.
Gain access to the Power Folding Seat C392 12 way in-line connector.
Start the engine and let idle.
Backprobe and measure the voltage on the (A905) B(+) circuit at the in-line harness connector and compare to voltage at the vehicle battery.
Is the voltage at the (A905) B(+) circuit the same as measured at the battery?

Yes

- Test the (A905) B(+) circuit from the C392 12 way in-line connector to the Folding Seat Module C1 connector and repair if necessary, if circuit is OK replace the Folding Seat Module.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.

No

- Repair the (A905) B(+) circuit as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
