- Key OFF.

- Using New Generation Star (NGS) tester or equivalent:

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with the 7.3L turbo engine, the diagnostic connector is located under the instrument panel next to the data link connector.

- Connect tester to black 4-pin connector located piggy-back on the EEC F1B connector tagged brake test.

- Is the equipment hooked up properly?

YES -- Go to PC4. PC4

NO -- Reattempt PC3. Service as required.
