With Column Shift

NOTE: The transmission shift linkage adjustments must be performed in the order in which they appear.

1. Place the shift lever in the OVERDRIVE (OD) position. A weight of 1.4 Kg (3 lb) should be hung on the shift lever to ensure the lever is located firmly on the OD detent.
2. Loosen the manual lever-to-control cable retaining nut.
3. Move the transaxle manual lever to the OVERDRIVE position, the second detent from the most rearward position.
4. Tighten the retaining nut to 17-23 Nm (12.5-17 ft lb). Check the operation of the transaxle in each selector lever position. Ensure that the park mechanism and the Transmission Range (TR) sensor are functioning properly.
