Wiper and Washer Systems: Description and Operation

This front wiper/washer system consists of a two or three speed, mist control, automatic park wiper with a remote washer pump. A condenser controlled intermittent wiper relay circuit is optional. The linkage mechanism utilizes a cam which is positioned on the shaft of its final gear. The cam serves to open and close circuit contact points in a specified sequence per revolution. The automatic park effect, which is achieved though a separate circuit, allows wiper motor operation independent of cam rotation.
The rear wiper/washer system is a single speed type and has a separate washer pump mounted on the front windshield washer tank.
