Front Parking Aid Camera Wiring Harness - Front Section

Removal

CAUTION: Make sure that the camera overlay wiring harness is not bent excessively during this procedure. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the harness.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Remove the RH front wheel.
3 Remove the front RH wheel arch liner. For additional information, refer to Fender Splash Shield Fender Splash Shield

NOTE:
Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
Remove the right hand floor console extension.
- Remove the screw.
- Release the 2 clips.

NOTE:
Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
Release the right hand closing trim panel.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Remove the clip.

NOTE:
Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
Remove the right hand closing trim panel.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the vehicle diagnostic socket.

NOTE:
Right hand drive vehicles only.
Remove the throttle pedal assembly.
- Remove the bolt cover.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

All vehicles.
Remove the cowl side trim panel. For additional information, refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Cowl Side Trim Panel




9 Remove the grommet.
- Reposition the floor carpet.





10 Remove the grommet.

NOTE:
The left hand front camera wiring harness connectors are colored white, the right hand front camera wiring harness connectors are colored black.
Disconnect the camera wiring harness.

The left hand front camera wiring harness connectors are colored white, the right hand front camera wiring harness connectors are colored black.
Disconnect the camera wiring harness.





13 Remove the hood seal.





14 Release the hood seal.

Installation





1 Install a suitable rod through the both holes.

NOTE:
Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
Remove the connectors from the camera overlay wiring harness.
- Remove the locking tab.
- Carefully release the clip.
- Apply suitable tape to protect the end of the camera overlay wiring harness.




3 Using a suitable tool, install the grommet to the camera overlay wiring harness.
- Using a suitable tool, make a hole in the centre of the grommet.




4 Using suitable tape, secure the camera overlay wiring harness to the end of the rod in the wheel arch area.

CAUTION: Make sure that the camera overlay wiring harness is not bent excessively during this procedure. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the harness.
Install the camera overlay wiring harness.




6 Install the camera overlay wiring harness through the 2 holes.
- Carefully pull the rod through in to the foot well area until the camera overlay wiring harness is through both holes.
- Release the rod from the camera overlay wiring harness.




7 Using a suitable tool, install the grommet to the camera overlay wiring harness.
- Using a suitable tool, make a hole in the centre of the grommet.

NOTE:

Install the connector to the camera overlay wiring harness.
- Remove the protective tape.
- Install the electrical connector.
- Secure the locking tab.

NOTE:
The left hand front camera wiring harness connectors are colored white, the right hand front camera wiring harness connectors are colored black.
Connect the camera overlay wiring harness.





10 Secure the grommet.





11 Secure the grommet.





12 Feed the camera overlay wiring harness along the existing engine compartment wiring harness to the RH front of the bumper.





13 Release the bracket.
- Remove the nut.
- Release the nut.





14 Carefully feed the camera overlay wiring harness under the bracket.





15 Secure the bracket.
- Tighten the nuts.





16 Secure the hood seal.





17 Install the hood seal.





18 Connect the camera overlay wiring harness.

CAUTION: Make sure that any tie straps used are not tightened excessively on the camera wiring harness and link leads, Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the harness.
Using suitable tie straps, secure the camera overlay wiring harness to the main body wiring harness.





20 Install the right hand closing trim panel.
- Secure the vehicle diagnostic socket.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.





21 Secure the right hand closing trim panel.
- Secure the clip.
- Install the 4 screws.





22 Install the right hand floor console extension.
- Secure the 2 clips.
- Install the screw.

23 Install the cowl side trim panel. For additional information, refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Cowl Side Trim Panel





24 Install the pedal assembly.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
- Install the bolt cover.

25 Install the front RH wheel arch liner.

26 Install the RH front wheel.
