SEAT: REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman): REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.
NOTE: If the position control ECU and rear seat adjuster is replaced, or the initialization cancel operation is performed, the position sensor initialization must be performed Rear Power Seat Control System.
HINT:
- for Power Seat:
Before removing the rear No. 1 seat adjuster, slide the rear power seat so that the front end of the rear seat cushion is 37 mm (1.46 in.) from the rearmost position.
- for Ottoman:
Before removing the rear No. 2 seat adjuster, slide the rear power seat so that the front end of the rear seat cushion is 17 mm (0.669 in.) from the rearmost position.

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
- If areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (A) are not lifted straight up, the cushion frame may become deformed.
- When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.

Specification:






(b) Disconnect the connector.
(c) Remove the seat cushion.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Operate the front power seat switch (slide and reclining) to put the front seat in the foremost position with the seatback fully upright.
(b) Operate the ottoman switch to move the ottoman to the fully extended position.
(c) Remove the 2 clips and 2 nuts from the ottoman.
(d) Disconnect the ottoman of the seat cushion from the adjuster.
(e) Lift the rear seat cushion assembly corners to disconnect the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
NOTICE:
- If areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (cushion assembly corners) are not lifted straight up, the cushion frame may become deformed.
- When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.

(f) Disconnect the connector.
(g) Remove the seat cushion.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.





(b) Remove the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.
(c) Remove the 3 bolts and rear seat cushion airbag.
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH






(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the outer belt anchor.






(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.






(d) Remove the bolt and pry out the connector holder.
(e) Disconnect the 2 connectors.






(f) Disconnect the connectors and 7 wire harness clamps.






(g) Detach the 3 pieces of fastening tape on the top of the seatback. Then using a clip remover, detach the clip.






(h) Remove the 2 nuts on the lower part of the seatback, and disconnect the rear No. 2 seat adjuster connection. Pull the lower part of the seatback towards the front of the vehicle to disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.






(i) Lift the seatback assembly upwards to remove it.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the outer belt anchor.






(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.






(d) Remove the bolt and pry out the connector holder.
(e) Disconnect the 3 connectors.






(f) Disconnect the connectors and 6 wire harness clamps.






(g) Detach the 3 pieces of fastening tape on the top of the seatback. Then using a clip remover, detach the clip.






(h) Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the air hose connector.
(i) Remove the 2 nuts on the lower part of the seatback, and disconnect the rear No. 1 seat adjuster connection. Pull the lower part of the seatback towards the front of the vehicle to disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.






(j) Lift the seatback assembly upwards to remove it.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





10. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.
(b) Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.
(b) Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH






(a) Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
