L110F HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
(a) Remove engine assembly Removal.
2. REMOVE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY Removal
3. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Removal
4. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR Removal
5. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR Removal
7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH Removal
9. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal
10. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal
11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH Removal
12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH Removal
13. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE INVERTER MOTOR CABLE CLAMP BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 inverter motor cable clamp brackets.
(b) Disengage the claw and separate the generator cable.
15. REMOVE NO. 3 COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 clips and No. 3 cover sub-assembly.
16. REMOVE TRANSMISSION BREATHER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the clamp.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the transmission breather hose sub-assembly.
(c) Remove the O-ring.
17. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR





(a) Disconnect the 11 connectors as shown in the illustration.
18. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 ground cables.
(b) Remove the 6 bolts and wire harness. Separate the wire harness clamps from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.





19. REMOVE TRANSMISSION MOTOR CABLE CLAMP BRACKET





(a) Remove the bolt and transmission motor cable clamp bracket.
20. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and 2 clips and disconnect the oil cooler tube.





21. REMOVE GENERATOR CABLE
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves before removing the generator cable.
NOTICE:
Cover the holes where the cable was connected with tape or equivalent (non-residue type) to prevent foreign objects or water from entering.





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and connector cover.





(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the 3 terminal caps.





(c) Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts.





(e) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 3 terminal cables and remove the generator cable from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





(f) Remove the 3 O-rings from the 3 terminal cables.
22. REMOVE MOTOR CABLE
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves before removing the motor cable.
NOTICE:
Cover the holes where the cable was connected with tape or equivalent (non-residue type) to prevent foreign objects or water from entering.





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and connector cover.





(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the 3 terminal caps.





(c) Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts.





(e) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 3 terminal cables and remove the motor cable from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





(f) Remove the 3 O-rings from the 3 terminal cables.
23. REMOVE GENERATOR CABLE PROTECTOR
(a) Remove the 3 generator cable protectors from the generator cable.




NOTICE:
Before removing the clamp, put matchmarks on the cables.

24. REMOVE MOTOR CABLE PROTECTOR
(a) Remove the 3 motor cable protectors from the motor cable.




NOTICE:
Before removing the clamp, put matchmarks on the cables.

25. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER





(a) Remove the 5 nuts, No. 3 mounting insulator and mounting member.
26. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 mounting insulators.
27. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and mounting insulator.
28. REMOVE NO. 1 MOTOR COOLING PIPE





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and clip and remove the No. 1 motor cooling pipe.
29. REMOVE NO. 1 HV WATER PUMP OUTLET PIPE





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and clip and remove the No. 1 hv water pump outlet pipe.
30. REMOVE TRANSMISSION BREATHER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the clamp and clip.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and transmission breather hose.
(c) Remove the breather hose.
NOTICE:
Keep the removed hose away from any foreign objects or water.

31. REMOVE STARTER HOLE INSULATOR





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and starter hole insulator.
32. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 10 bolts and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not use excessive force to pry out the transmission assembly when separating it from the engine to prevent the knock pins from being damaged.
