DESCRIPTION

The signal check circuit detects any trouble in the sensor or switch signal which cannot be detected by the DTC check.

Connecting terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 starts the check.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the absorber control ECU, check the acceleration sensor signal after replacement Adaptive Variable Suspension System.

Check the condition of each related circuit connector before troubleshooting Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TS TERMINAL)

(a) Turn the power switch ON (IG).

(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:

NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output Adaptive Variable Suspension System.

Result

C -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS CAN Communication System

B -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table

A -- REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3)

(a) Disconnect the A13 skid control ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

(a) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK WARNING LIGHT (DLC3 TS INPUT)

(a) Using SST, connect the terminals 12 (TS) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

SST : 09843-18040

(b) Check that the engine and ABS warning lights are blinking.

6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output Adaptive Variable Suspension System.
