Removal





INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 7 claws and 4 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.





(b) w/ Illumination:

(1) Disconnect the connector.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and guide, and remove the front door opening trim cover LH.





3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the claw and clip, and remove the cowl side trim board LH.

4. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.

HINT
Make the front pillar garnish LH hang down from the front pillar garnish clip.

(b) Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish LH.

NOTICE:
* Front pillar garnish clips are reusable if they are not removed from the vehicle and have no damage.
* Replace the front pillar garnish clips with new ones if they are removed from the vehicle.
HINT
Tape the tips of the needle-nosed pliers before use.

(c) Disengage the 2 guides at the front end of the front pillar garnish LH and remove it.

(d) Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

(1) Cover the airbag with a piece of cloth or nylon and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and 3 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.





6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.





(b) Disengage the 5 clips and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH

7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for LH Side) Removal

8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

9. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the clip (A).

(c) Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

(d) Disengage the clip (B).

(e) Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer seat belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish LH and remove the center pillar garnish LH.

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

14. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

16. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for RH Side)

17. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

18. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the front seat assembly LH Removal.

20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

21. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the upper instrument panel assembly Removal.

22. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

23. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK Removal

24. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH Removal

25. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY Removal

26. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH Removal

27. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY Removal

28. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH Removal

29. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disengage the 5 clips.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.

30. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

31. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

32. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET Removal

33. REMOVE NO. 4 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Removal

34. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET Removal

35. REMOVE COOLER BLOWER ASSEMBLY Removal

36. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/o Automatic High Beam System) Removal

37. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/ Automatic High Beam System) Removal

38. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/ Rain Sensor) Removal

39. REMOVE FRONT ROOF TOP GARNISH (w/o Lane Keeping Assist System)

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 claws and 2 clips, and remove the front roof top garnish.





40. REMOVE FRONT ROOF TOP GARNISH (w/ Lane Keeping Assist System)

(a) Push the area indicated by a shaded circle in the illustration to disengage the claw (A).





(b) Push the area indicated by a shaded circle in the illustration to disengage the claw (B).

(c) Disengage the 3 fasteners.

(d) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front roof top garnish.





41. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

42. REMOVE LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Lane Keeping Assist System) Removal

43. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

44. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

NOTICE:
Do not forcibly pry the assist grip covers to prevent them from being deformed.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.





(c) Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grip sub-assemblies.

45. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side)

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.





46. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.





47. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for RH Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

48. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

49. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER

(a) Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the other visor holder.

50. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the inner rear view mirror connector.

(b) w/ Rain Sensor:

(1) Disconnect the rain sensor connector.

(c) Disconnect the connector from the sliding roof drive gear assembly.

(d) w/o Manual (SOS) Switch:

(1) Disengage the 4 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar RH.

(e) w/ Manual (SOS) Switch:

(1) Disengage the 4 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar RH.

(f) w/o Satellite Radio:

(1) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the connector from the rear pillar RH.

(g) w/ Satellite Radio:

(1) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors from the rear pillar RH.

(h) Disengage the 4 clamps from the front pillar LH.

(i) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors from the connector holder.

(j) Disengage the 10 claws and 6 fasteners.

(k) Slide the roof headlining assembly to disengage the 4 guides, as shown in the illustration.





(l) Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front door RH.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

(m) Remove the clip (A) and 3 clips (B) from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
