B2250 - Back Door Closer Operation Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

* "Back door" refers to the luggage compartment door.

* DTC B2250 is output when there is a malfunction in the closer motor position switch, courtesy switch, or pawl switch of the luggage compartment door closer.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR)

(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage compartment door closer.

OK:

On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF as shown in above chart.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER)

OK -- REPLACE LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER)





(a) Disconnect the S43 motor connector.

(b) Disconnect the S36 closer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily replace the luggage compartment door closer with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2250 is not output

NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY Components

OK -- END (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER IS DEFECTIVE)
