DESCRIPTION

* When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly detects a motor malfunction and the sliding roof operation is stopped, DTC B2341 is stored.

* When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly detects a gear position malfunction and the sliding roof operation is stopped, DTC B2344 is stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK SLIDING ROOF FUNCTION

(a) Check the AUTO operation with the sliding roof switch Operation Check.

OK:

AUTO operation operates normally.

NG -- INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- END

3. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly can be initialized Initialization.

OK:

The sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly can be initialized.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK SLIDING ROOF FUNCTION

(a) Check the AUTO operation with the sliding roof switch Operation Check.

OK:

AUTO operation operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- END

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the X5 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the X4 and X6 switch connectors.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH)





(a) Remove the map light assembly Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
