DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly detects that the slide open switch, slide close switch, tilt up switch, or tilt down switch in the map light assembly is stuck for 30 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF)

(a) Using the TECHSTREAM, read the Data List Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

"Not Fail" appears on screen.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK SLIDING ROOF FUNCTION

(a) Check the AUTO operation with the sliding roof switch Operation Check.

OK:

AUTO operation operates normally.

NG -- INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the X5 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the X4 and X6 switch connectors.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH)





(a) Remove the map light assembly Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

6. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly can be initialized Initialization.

OK:

Sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly can be initialized.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK SLIDING ROOF FUNCTION

(a) Check the AUTO operation with the sliding roof switch Operation Check.

OK:

AUTO operation operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)
