BRAKE CONTROL: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM: C1289/41: VGRS Control System Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU communicates with the steering control ECU via CAN communication.

If a malfunction in the VGRS system is detected, cooperative control of the steering is prohibited by the fail-safe function.

1. CHECK DTC FOR VGRS SYSTEM

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for the VGRS system DTC Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.
