Removal





SUSPENSION: REAR STABILIZER BAR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

4. REMOVE TOOL BOX

5. REMOVE SPARE TIRE

6. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
* After the power switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

20. REMOVE SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman) Removal

21. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CONNECTOR Removal

22. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

23. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

24. REMOVE NO. 6 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR Removal

25. REMOVE NO. 5 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR Removal

26. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH Removal

27. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH Removal

35. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal

36. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) Removal

37. REMOVE TAILPIPE LH Removal

38. REMOVE TAILPIPE RH Removal

39. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER Removal

40. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

41. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR Removal

42. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR Removal

43. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY Removal

44. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH





(a) Remove the 4screws, 11 nuts and 2 clips from the liner.

45. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS CLAMP Removal

46. REMOVE FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER Removal

47. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CAP Removal

48. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE Removal

49. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

50. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

54. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.





(b) Remove the bolt, nut and stabilizer link from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.

55. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

56. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

57. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH

58. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Support the crossmember with the jack.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts.





(c) Slowly lower the jack, and remove the suspension member from the vehicle.

59. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BAR





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and stabilizer bar from the suspension member.

HINT
The stabilizer bracket and bush are built onto the stabilizer bar. If the bracket and/or bush detach from the bar, replace the bar.
