NAVIGATION: NAVIGATION ANTENNA: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal
3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly Removal.
6. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT Disassembly
7. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY Disassembly
8. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT Disassembly
9. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for DVD)
(a) Detach the 4 clamps.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna.
10. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for HDD)
(a) Detach the 2 clamps.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna.
