Removal





SEAT: REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

NOTICE:
If the position control ECU and rear seat adjuster is replaced, or the initialization cancel operation is performed, the position sensor initialization must be performed Rear Power Seat Control System.

HINT
Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat 37 mm (1.46 in.) from the rearmost position.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the seat adjuster.

NOTICE:
* If the areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (A) are not lifted straight up, the cushion spring may become deformed.
* When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.

Specification:





(b) Detach the rear hook of the seat cushion from the rear seatback frame and remove the seat cushion.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(c) Disconnect the connector.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

7. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY





(a) Detach the front hook of the center seat cushion from the vehicle body.

NOTICE:
The center seat cushion frame deforms easily. To avoid deforming the center seat cushion, place your hands near the hook and then pull up on the center seat cushion.

(b) Detach the rear hook of the center seat cushion from the center seatback frame and remove the center seat cushion.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt.





(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





(c) Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.

(d) Remove the bolt and pull out the junction block.





(e) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(f) Detach the 7 wire harness clamps and disconnect the 3 connectors.





(g) Detach the pieces of fastening tape and using a clip remover, detach the clip.





(h) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.





(i) Disconnect the seatback from the seatback adjuster, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

10. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Lower the center armrest.

(b) Raise the headrest.





(c) Detach the 2 clips.





(d) Detach the hook by lowering the rear seat armrest hole board, and remove it.

(e) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and seatback center.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





(f) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

11. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the anchor part of the rear center seat outer belt.

12. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and nut and seat adjuster.





NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.

13. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the No. 2 seat adjuster.

14. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
