HYBRID / BATTERY CONTROL: FRAME WIRE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY

Removal.

2. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

HINT
Removal.

3. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

(a) Remove the 4 clips, bolt and front floor cover RH.





4. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER RH

(a) Remove the 3 clips and front center floor cover RH.





5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH

(a) Remove the 2 clips, 2 bolts and rear floor side member cover RH.





6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

HINT
Removal.

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

NOTICE:
Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

(a) Remove the connector cover.





(b) Remove the nut and disconnect the clamp.





8. REMOVE NO. 4 HYBRID BATTERY SHIELD PANEL

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

NOTICE:
Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the ground cable.





(b) Remove the nut and disconnect the frame wire from the inverter terminal.





(c) Using the service plug grip, remove the battery cover lock striker.

HINT
Insert the projecting part of the service plug grip, and turn the button of the battery cover lock striker counterclockwise, to release the lock.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts, nut and No. 4 hybrid battery shield panel.

9. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

NOTICE:
Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

(a) Remove the battery shield contact.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts, disengage the clamp and disconnect the frame wire from the hybrid battery junction block assembly.





10. REMOVE FRAME WIRE

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

NOTICE:
Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

(a) Remove the wire harness protector and disconnect the clamp from the floor panel.





(b) Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps from the floor panel.





(c) Disengage the 3 claws and push the frame wire out from the floor panel.





(d) Remove the relay block cover.

(e) Release the 2 clamps and remove the No. 1 relay block cover.





(f) Remove the bolt and frame wire from the engine room junction block assembly.





(g) Release the 2 claws, and disconnect the frame wire.

(h) Disconnect the connector from the engine room junction block assembly.





(i) Release the 6 claws and remove the wire harness protector.

(j) Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

(k) Remove the bolt and disconnect the clamp.





(l) Remove the nut and bolt, and separate the heater pipe.





(m) Remove the nut and disconnect the clamp.





HINT
When removing the clamp, break the claw on the clamp. The clamps cannot be reused.

(n) Disconnect the clamp shown in the illustration.

(o) Remove the nut and disconnect the clamp.





(p) Remove the nut and disconnect the clamp.





(q) Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the frame wire.
